The invention relates to a method for producing a cylindrical support part by the connection of two or more flat radiators. These support parts make it possible to connect two or more flat radiators in one operation, for example by pressure welding. These support parts are in this case fixed between the walls of flat radiators; they take up the pressure which occurs upon application of pressure-welding methods. The support parts are provided with radially directed openings in order to permit the passage of the heat carrier medium to and from the radiators. As regards the metal-cutting work to be performed, the known support parts cannot be manufactured in a cost-effective manner. It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a method for the production of a support part which can be prepared without metal-cutting work. The solution to this object proposes the production of a support part made of steel sheet by means of non-cutting shaping, in which, after the disc-shaped blank has been cut, the latter is deformed essentially in a cup shape, is pierced and subsequently upset. The support part produced by this operation is not only capable of being manufactured economically, but has a high degree of resistance to deformation and a uniform precision. |
