<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to unearth easily an illegal user of a commutation ticket, such as a user going by rail paying only for the first and last sections of the ride, at a ticket gate for exit by incorporating in a commutation ticket an electrochromic element which is changed in color by a signal supplied from a ticket examining machine and stores its display condition. CONSTITUTION:With a commutation ticket 10 inserted into a ticket examining machine at a ticket gate for entrance, electrodes 16a, 16b in the ticket 10 are slidden on the surface of a contact element 12b in a signal supplying device 12 provided at a guide board 11, whereby a voltage from a DC power supply is supplied into the ticket 10. During the voltage supply, a sensor switch 17 receives light from a light source 19, whereby an electrochromic element 18 is supplied with a positive voltage, with the result of a color change. The commutation ticket retains the color-changed condition for a predetermined period of time after the voltage supply is cut off. When the user inserts the commutation ticket 10 into a ticket examining machine 1 for exit after the ride over a predetermined effective ride section, the element 18 in the ticket 10 is guided by a conveying belt 13 and a guide board 11 to a sensor 8, which detects the color of the ticket 10 and returns the color-changed element 18 to an original color. During this process, a signal detected by the sensor 8 is inputted to a discriminating circuit 21, which examine the propriety of the ride.</p> |
