PURPOSE:To warn the user of incompletion of reactivation of removal function elements by providing a heating pipe connected to a tank and incorporating activated carbon and a neon glow lamp indicating the energization of a percolator by a power source so as to remove residual chlorine and organic material contained in drinking water while eliminating the necessity of replacement of the removal function elements. CONSTITUTION:A heating pipe 5 incorporates honeycomb-like activated carbon elements 6 on the water flow inlet side, and a heater block 3 is provided therein with a thermostat Th2 adapted to be closed at a temperature at which the activated carbon elements 6 decomposes organic materials. When the thermostat Th2 is closed, a capacitor C is charged, and when the voltage of the capacitor C reached a discharge voltage of a neon glow lamp L, the discharge is carried out so as to turn on the neon glow lamp L in a short time. The neon glow lamp L is held to blink until the heater block 3 falls in a no heated load condition so that the temperature thereof reaches a temperature suitable for reactivating the activated carbon elements 6, that is, until the thermostat Th2 is opened, and is then held to be turned on. With this arrangement, residual chlorine or organic materials contained in drinking water may be removed while the activated carbon elements 6 are reactivated, and during extraction of coffee, or when the temperature of the activated carbon elements does not yet come to a suitable reactivating temperature, the neon glow lamp L blinks so as to warn the user. |
