PURPOSE:To economically manufacture liquid crystalline polymer film, which has high thickness accuracy, favorable external appearance and surface smoothness and well-balanced mechanical properties, with good reproducibility by a structure wherein liquid crystalline polymer in a film having three-layer construction containing thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic polymer, which has adherent property to liquid crystalline polymer, is extruded from an extruder A. the liquid crystalline polymer is extruded from an extruder B. thermoplastic polymer, which has no- adherent property to the liquid crystalline polymer, is extruded from an extruder C. The respective polymers are introduced in a feed block 4 through feed pipes A, B and C so as to be turned into a three-layer construction having LCP as its intermediate layer at the meeting point of three flow paths in the feed block and, after that, introduced in a T-die so as to be extruded in the form of film. The resultant film is passed through a cooling roll 7. Finally, the outer layer, which is made of polymer C, is separated from the film having the three-layer construction. The remaining liquid crystalline polymer film, which has the two- layer construction and has bonding layer, is taken up. |
