PURPOSE:To increase the number of test data outputted from a pseudo random number generator and to contrive the decrease of the number of steps of a test program by providing the pseudo random number generator and a signature compression register. CONSTITUTION:A data register 18 of the inside or a serial input register in an input/output port 17 is allowed to function as a pseudo random number generator. For instance, at the time of a test of an arithmetic part, pseudo random numbers generated from the pseudo random number generator and a signature compression register 19 are transferred to arithmetic part input registers (R0) 3, (R1) 4, and used for input test data of the arithmetic part. In such a way, the number of test data can be increased, and a test related to the greater part of an internal operation of a microprocessor can be executed by a small number of steps. |
