Oven for baking food products, in particular for baking chips, comprising a baking chamber (2) in which is mounted a revolving open-work container (3) for receiving the products to be cooked or heated, whereby the container is shaped like a drum and comprises a lateral side or an open-work peripheral side (3b) having a cylindro-spiral form and of which one of the edges (3c) overlaps and is located apart from the other (3d), so as to provide a longitudinal loading and unloading opening (5), whereby the baking drum (3) is dependent on an axial drive shaft (6) coupled to a motor (7) for rotatably driving said baking drum in a direction according to which the products in the process of being baked or heated can slide onto the peripheral open-work side (36) of the drum (3) without being removed from the latter, and in the opposite direction for automatically unloading said products through the longitudinal opening (5), characterized in that a cam (10) is fixed on said axial drive shaft (6), while a microswitch (11) is provided near the latter, so that its operating element (11a) may be driven by the active element (10a) of said cam in order for the revolving container (3) to come to a halt in a position according to which its loading or unloading opening (5) is found to be opposite the access opening of the oven, at the end of the unloading stage of the baked or heated products. |
