PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of coating residues during removing said residues and to maintain the temp. on the inside surface of a die as uniformly as possible, by performing the operations of air blowing and suction respectively at both ends of the die while a coating lance is held inserted into the die. CONSTITUTION:A cast pipe is drawn and a coating lance 1 is inserted into a die up to a prescribed position in a centrifugal die casting method of a wet process de Lavaud type. Compressed air is blown immediately into the die from the flange end side thereof to remove and blow away the coating residues from the inside surface of the die; at the same time, the residues are sucked by a dust collection hood 2 provided on the spigot end side. The scattering of dust is prevented and its collection is performed surely in removing the coating residues, whereby the working environment is improved, the temp. on the inside surface of the die is maintained as uniformly as possible, and the pipe having good quality is produced. |
