LOW-TEMPERATURE SHIFT CATALYST

摘要

PURPOSE: To keep high activity even in the case of containing impurities such as chloride by containing copper oxide-zinc oxide-alumina-barium carbonate in a proper ratio as a low temp. shift catalyst. CONSTITUTION: The catalyst is used for low temp. shift reaction and contains about 25-50 wt.% copper oxide, about 25-55 wt.% zinc oxide, about 5-30 wt.% alumina and about 1-20 wt.% barium carbonate per total weight of the catalyst. The catalyst obtained in this manner has remarkably excellent activity as the low temp. shift catalyst and simultaneously is small in the lowering of the activity even in the case of containing the chloride as a catalyst poison. Then the catalyst can be used in combination with a conventional low temp. shift catalyst though also used alone as the low temp. shift catalyst.
