PURPOSE:To enable the conduction and interruption to be controlled by means of light by making the light irradiation complementary to each other. CONSTITUTION:The figure furnishes an example of photosensitive elements D1, D2 connected to a gate or Si thyristor Q in series and in parallel therewith subject to the complementary light irradiation, i.e., when the element D1 is irradiated with light D2 is not irradiated, and vice versa. When D1 is in a conducting state, D2 is in an interrupted state. When D1 is in a conducting state, the Si thyristor Q is interrupted, and when D2 is in a conducting state, the Si thyristor Q is in a conducting state. |
