PURPOSE:To control braking torque with high accuracy to improve riding comfortableness by controlling braking current itself so as to slowly release the braking torque, and slowly increasing coil current during the starting of an elevator. CONSTITUTION:The comparison difference between a detected value of braking coil current from a current detector 15 and a braking current command from a current command generator is obtained by a comparator of a current control circuit 13, and the current supply to a braking coil 57 is controlled so as to reduce the above comparison difference. The braking coil current itself is thus controlled with high accuracy without being influenced by disturbance such as variations in temperature or voltage, etc. Further, a load detecting device of a speed control circuit 14 receives a braking current command from the current command generator and output from a speed detector 16 to predict a load in a cage, and calculates and outputs a bias value to be added to a reference speed command. A speed command is thus given in response to the load in the cage. |
