Device for continuous release of a liquid preparation for treating the hair and/or the skin of humans or animals, with a reservoir for said preparation and teeth which communicate by capillarity with said reservoir and which release said preparation onto the hair or the skin by stroking. To permit application of any such preparations, including those containing small solid particles, e.g. multi-component preparations, and to obtain a device with an external form of any desired design and in which the capillaries are aligned in any desired manner, at reduced cost, both the teeth and the reservoir are made in one piece from a number of stratified thin plates (7) and/or films between which are slit-shaped gaps (8) whose dimensions are such that the preparation for treating the hair flows by capillarity in the slit-shaped gaps in function of the materials of the plates and/or films and of the preparation.
