<p>A magnetic recording medium comprises, in order, (a) substrate, opt. (b) protective layer, (c) magnetic film, opt. (d) protective layer, (e) 5-500 Angstroms thick surface treatment layer made of a reaction prod. of an azido cpd. having as main skeleton (partially fluorinated alkyl chain and azido gp.(s) and pref. (f) 20-500 Angstroms thick lubricative material comprising perfluoroalkyl polyether or (partially) fluorinated alkane. The recording medium has improved wear resistance and long life.</p> |
