An arrangement for determining the speed of a boat, comprising a housing 1 with a rotation body 12 which is acted on by the water flow and projects at least partially from the housing, and a sensing element 10 for sensing the speed of rotation of the rotation body. Arranged in the housing is a duct 4 with an inlet opening 5 and an outlet opening 6, 8 for conducting air to the region in which the rotation body rotates for the purpose of bringing about disturbance-free rotation of the same and thus correcting measurement values even at high speeds of the boat.
