The invention relates to a device making it possible to float on water, either in a teaching context or in play, by preventing the problems connected with inflatable objects, particularly premature wear and accidental perforation caused by impact. The invention is decisive in terms of the reduction in installation time. It consists of a polyethylene-foam volume of rectangular base, in which a rigid, deformable, steel core F is embedded. Its rigidity is given by a shape which enables it to adapt itself immediately to the required part of the body by simple coiling. The length depends on the desired use. Definitive safety is achieved by the supply of a rapid coupling heat-welded onto the volume Y. <IMAGE>
