A laundry antistatic composition, free of synthetic or organic detergent, comprises one or more polyamides of trialkylacetic acid (s) and polyamine (s), as antistatic agent, wherein the trialkylacetic acid moieties are of 1 to 10 carbon atoms in each of the alkyls and the polyamine moieties contain from 2 to 5 amino groups, and a particulte carrier, builder, filler, fabric softening agent or other solid particulate adjuvant or mixture. The compsn. gives an effective antistatic property in the laundry of susceptible synthetic fabrics.
