PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of heat from a buffer, to prevent the saturation of the buffer, and to improve the quality of an ultrasonic image by changing a current to flow in the buffer correspondingly to the depth from the body surface of a reagent with which an ultrasonic probe comes into contact with each diagnosing part of the reagent. CONSTITUTION:An oscillator 1 is driven through a buffer 2 by a pulser 4, an ultrasonic wave is transmitted to the reagent, further, the ultrasonic wave is received by each diagnosing part of the reagent with the same oscillator, and this input signal is inputted to the buffer. Thereupon, a reference signal S1 is inputted from a reference signal generating circuit 3 to a bias controller 5, the current of the buffer is controlled, the signal from the buffer is amplified in a preamplifier 6, and diagnostic information is displayed on a B mode image display part 7. Thus, an average current can be suppressed by increasing the bias current of the buffer at a shallow diagnosing part and decreasing the bias current of the buffer at a deep diagnosing part. Consequently, the generation of the heat from the buffer can be suppressed, the saturation of the buffer can be prevented, and the quality of the ultrasonic image can be improved. |
