PURPOSE:To prepare a dustless phenol resin molding material easy to handle by adding a given low boiling point solvent to a phenol resin molding material being kneaded and then crushed by means of a mixing roll, an extrusion kneading machine or the like and granulating by means of a high speed rotating mixer. CONSTITUTION:A crushed phenol resin forming material is kneaded by a mixing roll, an extrusion kneading machine or the like, and then 1-10% of a low boiling point solvent with a boiling point of 100 deg.C or under is added therein and granulated by a high speed rotating mixer. As for the solvent to be added, for example, ketone family acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, alcoholic family methanol or ethanol is used. A crushed granular phenol resin molding material is granulated easily by said process. That is, granulation of phenol resin molding material, which is very hard to be granulated by the processes heretofore available because of curing properties, high melting viscosity and the like can be carried out without changing blending ratio. |
