A converter housing which is used for accommodating gas-cooled or liquid-cooled power converters and generally has a plurality of bushing arrangements (which are preferably accommodated by a closure cover) for passing in each case one power bushing element or one control cable element through in a pressure-tight manner, is distinguished by the fact that the converter housing and the closure cover (11) or at least one of these housing parts is formed by a cast metal moulding which is used for accommodating the bushing arrangements, that a separate bushing opening (12, 15, 18) (which is provided with a circumferential, projecting collar (24, 25, 26) and, together with this collar, forms a tubular section) is constructed in the cast metal moulding for each bushing arrangement to be accommodated, that each bushing arrangement which is accommodated in a bushing opening is formed by a bushing stub (43) which consists of a resin which can be cast, especially epoxy resin, and is cast onto the cast metal moulding directly using a proposed method, passes through the bushing opening - closing it in a pressure-tight manner - engages all round its collar and otherwise projects considerably outwards beyond the bushing opening, and which, towards the housing interior, [lacuna] by means of an annular cap (31) made of an insulating material which is resistant to the coolant and at the same time to temperature influences...
