PURPOSE:To obtain invariably stable copy quality without attracting toner to a brush body made of insulating fibers by using the brush body as a cleaning assistant member. CONSTITUTION:A blade body 4 and the brush body 5a are stored and arranged in the housing 6 of a cleaning device body as well as a conventional device. A brush body of 32mm.phi size formed by implanting rayon fibers of 25muphi in a roll body to 100mm. fiber length and 70,000/cm<2> density is used as the brush body 5a and this is arranged in contact with an Se drum to about 1mm. contact length. This cleaning device is used to prevent toner from lumping by sticking on the brush body 5a excessively, from overflowing, or from forming clouds. Thus, remaining toner on the image carrier is crushed with the insulating brush body and then the image carrier is cleaned easily with the cleaner body. |
