Safety belt webbing with very low-friction outer surfaces for moving within the safety belt system with a minimum of friction. The warp yarns woven into the webbing have filaments of at least 15 dtex, in particular 17 dtex. In one embodiment the warp yarns are twistless and have been locally entangled using compressed air, the entanglement spacings ranging from 5 to 15 cm. In another embodiment the warp yarns have a very low level of twist, namely from 30 to 50 turns per metre of yarn length. ……
