PURPOSE:To substantially improve air conditioning capacity, to reduce the generation of noise and a consumption power, and to prevent the generation of rasping noise by a method wherein the outer diameter of the side plate of an impeller or an outer plate is increased to a value higher than that of a blast blade. CONSTITUTION:An outer peripheral edge 4a of a main plate 4 is extended over the outer diameter of the blade of an impeller 7, and is bent toward the upper end side of a heat exchanger 13. Meanwhile, a side plate 5 is also extended in a similar manner described above and curved toward the lower end side of the heat exchanger 13. Thereby, a free jet boundary line of discharge air formed to the back of the main plate 4 and the side plate 5 of the impeller is prevented from extending across only the central part of the heat exchanger 13. As a result, velocity of flow distribution of air introduced to the heat exchanger 13 is improved, an air flow rate is increased resulting from a decrease in draft resistance, and heat exchange efficiency is also improved. Further, simultaneously, since a low blast amount suffices for operation of a device, the generation of noise is reduced, and a drive power can be also saved. |
