PURPOSE:To eliminate the inconvenience in restarting of copying by stopping part of operations and making operations such as cleaing of entire surface, making the potential over the entire surface to uniform, and discharging of transfer materials without stopping a rotating boty when the abnomality of the rotating body is detected and stopping the rotating body upon completion of these operations. CONSTITUTION:A series of pulses DP complying with the revolutions of a photosensitive drum are generated with a light emitting diode 54 and a photodetector 55 provided to face the holes 52 of a disc 51 which rotates coaxially with the drum. A transistor Qa 15 is turned on by the pulses DP and the input 9 of a gate Qa 10 is made (0). Since a main motor M1 goes on when the driving signal for the same is (1), the input 8 of the Qa 10 goes to (1). Therefore the output PS of the Qa 10 goes to (0). However, when no more DP are generated, the PS goes to (1), and is inputted to a microcomputer M, which turns HVT1 off to the charging effect and to continue HVT2 AEX, thereby destaticizing the drum and making the potential thereof uniform. The drum is stopped after these operations are completed. Thus the inconvenience in the restarting of copying is eliminated. |
