PURPOSE:To prevent scoring from being generated on a mirror housing which is rotated from a normal posture, from a mirror base through the pushing movement of the cam of a cam follower roller. CONSTITUTION:A mirror housing usually maintains a normal posture, resisting to external force due to engagement between a projection 9a and a recess 6b. When subjected to a large external force in the arrow A direction, the engagement is released and the mirror housing 3 is tilted backward releasing the impact of the external force. When subjected to a large external force in the arrow B direction, the mirror housing 3 is tilted forward with a front side shaft 6 as the center of rotation. In this case, a cam follower roller 12 which is supported by a bracket 13, rides over a cam 10e and pushed leftward, and as the mirror housing 3 is moved leftward, i.e., in a direction separating from a mirror base 2 while being tilted forward, no friction is generated between the mirror base 2 and the housing 3. |
