PURPOSE:To improve the workability at the time of connecting a ceramic heater, and a middle shaft and an electrode tube which are used as both terminal electrode terminals and to facilitate the manufacture of the titled plug by welding lead wires projected from the terminal metal fittings to the middle shaft and the electrode tube. CONSTITUTION:The junction structure of the ceramic heater 11, and the middle shaft 16 and the electrode tube 18 which are used as terminal electrodes at the rear end sides of mounting metal fittings 15 and 17, is formed so that both ends of a heat generating wire are exposed to the outer peripheral surfaces of a small-diameter part 11a provided with steps at the rear end of the heater and a large-diameter part 11b of the main body disposed closely thereto to form elecrode parts A and B, and terminal metal fittings 15 and 17 are fitted in the electrode parts A and B, lead wires 15a and 17a projected at respective terminal metal fittings 16 and 17 being connected to the middle shaft 16 and the electrode tube 18. The junction of connecting metal fittings 15 and 17 at the electrode parts A and B is formed so that a glass layer or a metalized layer is interposed in the outer peripheral surfaces of the heat generating wire 14 except the exposed portions of the end parts 14a and 14b, and is solidly soldered. Therefore, the workability of the titled plug at the time of joining is improved, and the titled plug is a dapted for mass-production. |
