To fix the prints of reactive dyes and vat dyes, where a two-phase printing process has been applied to cellulosic textiles, in the form of moving webs of woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics, an auxiliary fixing agent is applied to the printing fabric by electrostatic deposition, within the fixing chamber. By applying the fixing agent by electrostatic deposition within the fixing chamber, the high cost is avoided of providing separate protection for the atomisation nozzles and the ambient medium of the high tension field.
