PURPOSE:To obtain the title rope for fishing net preventing short and marine organisms from attaching themselves to fishing nets by covering the outer periphery of a rope comprising twisted electrically conductive yarns as a core material with a rope comprising twisted plural electrically non-conductive yarns. CONSTITUTION:The outer periphery of an electrically conductive core material 1 obtained by drawing an electrially conductive rope comprising a great number of thin yarns such as carbon yarns or platinum wires in the axial direction is covered with plural ropes extending in the axial direction prepared by twisting electrically non-conductive yarns 2 such as nylon or polyester to give an electrically conductive rope for immersing in sea water not forming short of the mutual electrically conductive ropes at knotted parts of meshes when used as an antifouling fishing net.
