Cast iron for mould comprises 4.15-4.20 wt.% C, 1.60-2.0 wt.% Si, 0.25-0.41 wt.% Mn, 0.014-0.023 wt.% S, 0.05-0.1 wt.% P, 0.070.09 wt.% Ti, 0.013-0.02 wt.% Mg, 0.45-0.55 wt.% Al and the balance Fe, with 4.5-5.0 the weitht ratio of Si to Mn. The cast iron has the excellent mechanical properties and thermal conductivity.
