A process for the production of a hot-dip aluminium alloy coated steel wire, comprises (i) pre-heating the pre-treated steel wire to 200-250 deg. C, the steel wire being pre-treated by passing into watersoluble flux bath consisting of KCL, KF and HF, (ii) continuously passing through the plating bath of 665-680 deg.C to 0.25-1.0 m/sec rate. The plating bath consists of the upper flux layer including KCL, NaCl, Na3AlF6 and AlF3, Al-alloy melts layer including Al, Si and Cu, and the lower Pb melts layer.
