PURPOSE:To improve the heat radiation at high-temperature time and startability and luminance at low-temperature time of the device by forming a reflecting plate of a metallic plate having a high heat transferring property and holders and a spacer for holding a lamp and providing a heater in the spacer. CONSTITUTION:Holders 12 and 12 formed of insulating members having a high heat transferring property, such as silicon rubber, etc., are arranged on a reflecting plate 11 and electrode holding holes 15 and 15, into which electrodes of an U-shaped lamp 16 are respectively inserted, are formed in the holders 12 and 12. A U-shaped spacer 17 formed of an insulating material having a high heat transferring property is provided between the lamp 16 and reflecting plate 11 and a laminated heater 19 is arranged between the spacer 17 and plate 11. Therefore, the heat produced in this back-light device can be radiated well and, at the same time, the startability and luminance of the device at low- temperature time can be improved. |
