<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the limited voltage characteristics by a method wherein bismuth oxide, manganese oxide, antimony oxide, cobalt oxide and germanium oxide are contained in a composition mainly composed of zinc oxide. CONSTITUTION:Bismuth oxide, manganese oxide, antimony oxide and cobalt oxide as additives as well as germanium oxide in terms of 0.01-5.0 (mol%) of GeO2 are contained in a composition mainly composed of zinc oxide. That is, germanium ion (Ge<4+>) is solid-solved in ZnO crystal grains by using germanium oxide as an additive resultantly to reduce the resistance value in case of operation. Through these procedures, the limited voltage is lowered to enhance the limited voltage characteristic.</p> |
