PURPOSE:To safely use the subject device all the time by composing the device so that the operation of a laser generator can be controlled or a laser probe type discriminated result can be announced according to the discriminated result. CONSTITUTION:A protrusion 4b of a laser probe connector 4 presses any of actuators 11a, 12a, 13a, and 14a, and a control part discriminates the type of a laser probe 3 according to which microswitch is turned on and reads out a set current value corresponding to the discriminated result from an internal memory. Further, the control part compares the read set current value with the detected current of a current detector, and when the detected current reaches the set current, the control part stops the driving of a laser driving circuit and stops the transmitting operation of the laser generator. Consequently, the melting of the laser probe 3 can be avoided, the device can be safely used all the time, and the safety of a patient and an operator can be secured. |
