<p>An artificial eye crystalline lens (1) comprises a lens (2) and support elements (3) consisting of shaped rods evenly spaced along the perimeter of the lens and secured to it in a cantilever manner. Each said rod has a proximal end section (5) radially oriented and secured to the lens, and a distal end section (6), connected to the proximal end section through an intermediate section (7) and also oriented in a radial direction, so that the proximal and distal ends (5, 6) are mutually offset in angular direction along the lateral side of the lens thus essentially facilitating the operation and subsequent rehabilitation. A lens construction with folding support elements is also provided.</p> |
