PURPOSE: To minimize the loss of performance and to simply and inexpensively assemble by a reduced number of processes by providing first and second mutually fitted lamination packs which are fitted to each other and are elastically deformable or permanently deformable. CONSTITUTION: A potential transformer 10 is provided with a core composed of a coil 11, an E-shaped lamination pack 12 and an I-shaped lamination pack 14. A dovetail 16 is formed at the external edge of the upper tip of the E-shaped lamination of the pack 12 and a deformable projection or an ear-shaped part 18 is formed at the I-shaped lamination of the pack 14. When deformation D toward the inside is generated by the force F of a fastening finger, the ear- shaped part 18 is inserted to the dovetail to mechanically fix the E/I-shaped packs 12 and 14 to each other. Thereby the time and the number of processes for assembling the core are reduced.
