PURPOSE:To enable printing to be excellently performed many times without generating peeling of all ink layer from a substrate film by a method wherein first and second thermal fusible layers coming in contact with the substrate film contain a specific amount of an ethylene copolymer of which number average molecular weight is specified. CONSTITUTION:A first thermal fusible ink layer of a thermal transfer film composed establishing successively the first thermal fusible ink layer, a second thermal fusible ink layer, and a third thermal fusible ink layer on a substrate film is an ink layer containing an ethylene copolymer of 1X10<4> to 3X10<4> in number average molecular weight, and the second thermal fusible ink layer is composed of an ink layer containing an ethylene copolymer of 1X10<3> to 6X10<3> in number average molecular weight. The ethylene copolymer is a copolymer of ethylene and other vinyl monomer, and a content of the vinyl monomer in the ethylene copolymer is 10 to 90wt.% to be used. For a blended amount in the ink layer of each copolymer, the copolymer in the first ink layer is preferably 10 to 50wt.%, and the copolymer in the second ink layer is preferably 20 to 80%. |
