<p>PURPOSE:To recognize input words accurately by generating plural outputs of a recognition part preferentially without limiting the outputs to the top-priority output, and matching them with the contents of a word dictionary. CONSTITUTION:A character recognition part 1 which recognizes read characters and a matching circuit 11 which detects a recognized character coinciding with a character entered into a word dictionary are provided, and the character recognition part 1 outputs plural possible recognized characters with higher priority. Then, the matching circuit 11 compares the possible recognized characters with words in the word dictionary 7 to select the word with the greatest degree of matching.</p> |
