PURPOSE:To contrive the simplification of a processing by generating a job control language (JCL) which is selected and copied by using a standard copy and maintenance program of the system as an assembly job. CONSTITUTION:A JCL storing means 1 refers to a file format table 4 at every filing sequence of a secondary storage medium, retrieves a copy job control language corresponding to a stored program file format attribute from a JCL table 5, and stores it in a generation JCL table 7. A program name storing means 2 reads a program name to be selected from a selection program table 6, stores it in the generation JCL table 7, and a job generating means 3 generates a JCL group stored in the table 7 as one job. In such a manner, it becomes unnecessary to generate a copy program in accordance with the file format of an input file, therefore, the processing can be executed simply.
