PURPOSE:To prevent paper from hanging slack or the like by giving a uniform load in the case of paper traveling and to improve precision of line feed by a method wherein a paper traveling load applying material for applying tensile tension by coming in contact with printing paper is established. CONSTITUTION:A front cover 6 for opening and closing a charging side of a paper traveling path is installed in an opening and closing free manner by being rotatably supported with a shaft 10 on a front side of a printer body, and a paper traveling load applying material 7 for applying tensile tension by being contacted with printing paper 1 is appended inside a bottom end of a front cover 6. The printing paper 1 inserted from a front of the printer passes between a paper guide 2 and a base frame 3, passes a platen 4, and is hooked with a tractor 5. When paper feed is performed by rotation of the tractor 5, the paper traveling load applying material 7 comes always in contact with the printing paper 1 to apply tensile tension thereto, and an always uniform paper traveling load is obtained. Further, the front cover 6 is capable of being opening and closed by rotation with the shaft 10. In the case of an open state, tensile tension is not applied to the printing paper 1, which comes to be of a free state. Then, loading of the printing paper 1 on the printer can be easily performed. |
