PURPOSE:To simplify an interrupting mechanism and to smooth restoring operation by providing a gas meter with a detaining mechanism checking reciprocating or rotational motion by an interrupting signal and a restoring mechanism releasing the detaining mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Since a permanent magnet 24 for a detaining lever 22 is attracted by an iron 26, a detaining part 23 is separated by a crank arm 8' and the rotation of crank arm 8' due to the reciprocating motion of a measuring film 2 is protected at a mormal time, gas is sent out from a gas meter while being measured. At an abnormal time, current flows into an electromagnet in a moment, a driving part 27 is separated from an iron core 26 and a detaining part 23 is projected, so that the rotation of the crank arm 8' is stopped and gas feeding is interrupted. At the time of restoration, a restoring cam 29 is rotated clockwise by the clockwise rotation of an operating lever 32, a driving part 27 is pushed up and the permanent magnet 24 is again attracted by the iron core 26, restoring the magnet 24 to the normal position. Consequently the interrupting mechanism of rotational motion is simplified and its restoring operation is also smoothed. |
