摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To accurately measure an electric current for a long time by converting synthesized optical beams into electric signals after receiving the optical beams in such a way that one of the synthesized optical beams is received through a material having a Farady effect and the other is received without passing through the material. CONSTITUTION:Rays of light from light emitting elements 6-8 are respectively made incident on optical fibers 9-11 and the rays of light emitted from other ends of the fibers 9-11 become the 1st to 3rd linearly polarized light waves after respectively passing through lenses 12-14 and polarizers 15-17. The 1st and 2nd linearly polarized light waves are made incident on a beam splitter 41 and two synthesized optical beams are formed and one of the synthesized optical beams and the 3rd linearly polarized light waves are made incident on another beam splitter 42 and two synthesized optical beams are formed. The synthesized optical beams contain the 1st3rd linearly polarized light waves ad their optical axes are coincident with each other. One of the synthesized optical beams is analyzed 20 after passing through a Farady-effect material 18 and sent to a light receiving element 23 through an optical fiber 22. The other optical beams are analyzed 20' and sent to another light receiving element 23' through another optical fiber 22'. Electric signals converted by the elements 23 and 23' are calculated by means of an electric circuit 43 and an electric value is measured.</p>
