PURPOSE:To improve operability by automatically switching a second mode to a first mode, that is a general mode showing an operating condition of a device after a specific mode, that is, the second mode is set and displayed. CONSTITUTION:A display part 11 and various keys, all of which are provided on a console panel 10, are connected to a CPU 41 through a I/O interface 40. When the CPU 41 selects, sets and instructs desired contents using the second mode as an action mode under the condition where the display part 11 displays the second mode as a display mode, the display mode is automatically switched to the first mode. Therefore, when the contents of the second mode are set, the second mode to be set is displayed. The operational contents can be confirmed by the first display during image formation. Thereby, the operability can be improved. |
