PURPOSE:To obtain the title superconductor which shows superconductivity at higher temperature than until up to now by effecting preliminary calcination of a starting prescribed mixture powder at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed time, crushing, press-molding and calcining the molded product at prescribed temperature for a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:Starting powders of Tl, Ba, Ca and Cu oxides are mixed so that the proportion of Tl, Ba, Ca and Cu becomes alpha:2:2:3 (wherein alpha=3 to 7) in atom % to prepare a mixed powder. The powder is preliminarily calcined at 800 to 850 deg.C for 30 to 120 minutes, then the calcined product is farther calcined at 850 to 900 deg.C for 300 to 600 minutes. The process attains the production of TIBaCaCuO superconductor showing superconductivity at such a high temperature as the conventional superconductor could not attain. |
