Shock-absorbing system for sports shoes, including a hollow housing 10 for a flexible elastomeric material which is more flexible and more resilient than the material of the insole 2 of the sports shoe which insole has to be placed removably in a cavity 4 in the region of the heel of the shoe. The inner and outer surfaces of the side of the housing 10 are smooth and homogeneous and provision is made for an upper cover with a projecting top band (binding, border) which rests on the insole 2. One or more replaceable shock-absorbing discs 20 are inserted into the housing 10 and are held therein by the cover which includes rods 14 extending downwards in order to engage a groove in the disc 20 and a peripheral rim at the lower end of the housing 10.
