System which comprises the arrangement, in the brake circuit, at least in the rear-wheel circuit, of an electrovalve supplied from the vehicle's battery, which electrovalve controls the passage of brake fluid, closing the passage in both directions when deactivated, whilst opening it when activated. Upon cutting off the electrical supply to the electrovalve with the brake pedal depressed, it is possible to maintain brake pressure and therefore locking of the wheels. <IMAGE>
