The stationary ring gear 3 of the epicyclic reduction gear 1 is held fixed and secured to the external casing 2 by means of members made from an elastic material 12 inserted axially between the said ring gear 3 and the external casing 2. These members 12 contribute to damping out the vibrations and the torque transmitted by the teeth of the spider gears 5 to the teeth of the (external) ring gear 3. <IMAGE>
