PURPOSE:To test an I/O interface without using a host by simulating the operation of a channeling function to one channel adapter. CONSTITUTION:By executing a test program B stored into an internal memory 2-1, a test side channel adapter 2 controls the activation, transfer and completion of the I/O interface caused by the issue of a channel command for a tested channel adapter 1 instead of the channel. According to this, the interruption to notify information to a central control part 4 by the tested channel adapter 1 is processed by executing a test program A stored into an interval memory 4-1 by the central control part 4, and the I/O interface function of the channel adapter is tested. Thus, without using the host, the I/O interface test of the host can be efficiently executed. |
