PURPOSE:To enhance the yield of dyestuff formation and to improve the fastness of a color image by using a specified magenta coupler and regulating the amt. of Ca in a sensitive material to a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:The title sensitive material contains 5-pyrazolone type magenta coupler having a releasable group represented by formula I at the coupling position and has <=10mg/m<2> Ca atom content. In the formula I, each of L1 and L2 is methylene or ethylene, each of l and m is 0 or 1, R1 is H, alkyl, etc., R2 is a group combining with A through A, O, etc., A is C or S, n is 1 or 2, B is C, O, etc., and X is a group of atoms required to form a ring. A compd. represented by formula II may be used as the magenta coupler and the low Ca content can be attained by using gelatin having a low Ca content as raw material. |
