PURPOSE: To improve the adhesive property of cells to an artificial blood cell wall, by replacing nutrition solution near the side part treated by carrier cells at prescribed intervals by pulse movement of flow to increase speeds of flow and pulse up to ones similar to biological values in the guide tube elapsing some days. CONSTITUTION: After this carrier is completely coated by cells, when preliminarily cultured cells are used in a carrier treatment room 3, cells are retained in static nutrition solution for about 12 hours. During the time, the nutrition solution 7 in the carrier 23 is replaced by a short pulse for some seconds to some minutes to switch a pump 6 every 2-6 hours. After 12 hours, the pump 6 which is set, for instance, 2 rotations per minutes at first to make 4 counts of pulse per minute in the flow since squeezing rollers are two. The number of rotation of the pump 6 is increased stepwise up to that of 30-50rpm to obtain 60 to 100 of pulse corresponding to the pulse of a human body. The flow load on a coating membrane 23 reaches quasi-biological after about 2 2/1 days and the conditioned membrane can be transplanted in blood circulation further after 24 hours. |
