PURPOSE:To enable the rapid processing of a color photographic sensitive material and to improve the shelf life of an image by carrying out development with a prescribed color developing soln. and processing with a specified bleaching soln. CONSTITUTION:A color photographic sensitive material is imagewise exposed, developed with a color developing soln. contg. >=1.2X10<-2>mol/l color developing agent, processed with a bleaching soln. of pH 2.5-5.5 contg. >=0.2mol/l ferric complex salt of 1,3-diaminopropanetetraacetic acid and fixed to form a dyestuff image. A p-phenylenediamine deriv. such as 2-methyl-4-[N-ethyl-N-(beta- hydroxyethyl)amino]-aniline sulfate may be used as the developing agent. The ferric complex salt may be the ferric ammonium salt and may be used in combination with a ferric complex salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. |
