<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the mis-feed of a sheet, i.e., a jam, in an inverting action by applying a forming action rotating a positioning stopper member several times in the discharge direction to a stepping motor before the sheet is carried to the first conveyance path in the sheet inverting device of an image forming device such as a copying machine and a printer. CONSTITUTION:The on-signal of a print switch 48 provided on the control member 50 of a copying device drives a stepping motor 35 via the control member 50 of an inverting device and the control member 52 of the stepping motor so that the stepping motor 35 can operate a positioning stopper member 30 multiple times in the discharge direction via timing belts 31 and 38 over the period from the time when the print switch is turned on to the time when the sheet tip is detected by an inlet sensor 44 provided on the first conveyance path 20 of the inverting device. The positioning stopper member 30 can be correctly moved from the home position which is the waiting position to the position compatible with the sheet size, and the rear end of the sheet can be further moved to the biting position of an inverting roller 26.</p> |
