PURPOSE:To detect the processed grain recovery box charged with processed grains containing foreign materials and to specify said contaminated box by detecting a foreign material in processed grains by a foreign material detection means in the course of dropping the grains from a conveyor and alarming a worker with an alarming means such as a lamp. CONSTITUTION:Cooked rice delivered from a conveyor 1 is recovered with an empty box 28 for the recovery of processed grains. In the recovery operation, a foreign material detection means 30 detects the presence of a foreign material 32 in the cooked rice. If the cooked rice is judged to contain a foreign material, a worker is informed of the foreign material contamination and the recovery box containing the foreign material is exchanged with an empty recovery box. As an alternative method, a feeding means is actuated to perform an automatic control in such a manner as to transfer a processed grain recovery box 28a from a feed roller conveyor 27 to a weighing roller conveyor. Since the recovery box containing a foreign material can be easily discriminated, the lowering of the commercial value of the cooked rice caused by the mixing of foreign material can be prevented. |
